JPK METALLICS Private Limited, has its origins in 1980, when a young science graduate from a business family in Kolkata, Mr Kailash Pat Agarwala, with a few years of experience in Gray cast iron castings, dared to venture out on his own, setting up a company named Shree Jagannath Ferro Casting (SJFC).
It did not take very long for the company to excel under his stewardship and soon the company became a name to be reckoned with in the manufacture of Railway Sleeper Castings. It was in fact one of the leading suppliers to the railway industry of the Indian Govt. Sector as well as a mass supplier of line materials to the Department of Telecommunication (D.O.T) in India. Besides the Government Sector the company was also into manufacturing and exporting, of sanitary castings, in a big way and catered to a global market, covering countries in the United States of America, Europe and Middle East. By the year 1992 the company shifted totally into manufacturing and exporting of sanitary castings and continued catering to the international market.
A dynamic management team headed by the founder, ensured an excellent growth chart over the years and in 2005, the company spread its manufacturing base by setting up KPA SECURITIES Pvt Ltd, a ductile iron castings manufacturing unit, in Uluberia, Howrah (west Bengal – India). This was a bold and pioneering step forward since only a few Indian companies had until then ventured into manufacture of Ductile Iron Castings. The early mover advantage has yielded rich dividends for the company, which today can boast of being one of the highest producer of sanitary castings and ranks amongst the top few manufacturers of Ductile Iron Castings in West Bengal. From the early days of being a hand moulding foundry the company today is a modern and fully equipped foundry having machine moulding processes and semi-automatic sand plant. It has also extended its product base to pipe fittings and engineering castings as well where companies of the stature of Tata Metallics , Electro Steel , Lohia Starlinger , Usha Telehoist etc. are regular customers.
